Do you eat a banana at least once a week? And have you ever wondered how they actually grow, or how hard the work can be for the people who harvest them?
We’re excited to introduce a brand-new local project in Tamri: a unique banana plantation experience run together with a small local family.<3
Now you can discover a side of Morocco that very few travellers get to see. This is a chance to step away from the usual tourist routes, meet local people and experience Moroccan countryside life in a truly personal way.
Tamri is famous for its sweet little mini bananas, but hardly anyone gets the chance to see where they come from. We are the only ones offering access to this plantation and this experience.
You’ll walk through the plantation, learn how the bananas are grown, hear their story and, of course, taste different fresh bananas straight from the source. 🍌 Then we’ll enjoy an unforgettable picnic, where you can try homemade banana treats from Tamri, lovingly prepared with lots of love, seasonal fruits and traditional Moroccan mint tea. There you can connect with other travelers.
And by joining the tour, you’re directly supporting a small local family and helping a new local project grow.❤️
If time allows and you’re interested, we can also take you through Tamri village itself – a traditional Moroccan village with almost no tourists, where you can get an even more authentic glimpse of local life.
